These are the changes we’re implementing in our accommodations to provide a more sustainable stay:
Waste
- Recycling bins are available for guests and waste is recycled
- The accommodation tries to reduce food waste
- Water dispenser / refrigerator available
- No plastic mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner, or body wash are used
- No plastic single-use spoons are used
- No plastic straws are used
- No single-use plastic water bottles, beverage bottles, or cups are used
- No single-use plastic cutlery or plates are used
Water
- Low-flow toilets and showers are used
- Guests can opt-out of daily room cleaning
- Towels can be reused
Energy and Greenhouse Gases
- Most food served is sourced locally
- Most lights are LED bulbs
- All windows are double glazed
- Accommodation offsets a portion of its carbon footprint
- All electricity is from renewable sources
- Electricity can be controlled with a motion sensor or room keycard
Destination and Community
- The accommodation invests a percentage of its revenue in sustainability or community projects.
